2. (a) What are the three major sources of power loss in power transformers and how they would vary with the load demand and the operation voltage? (6 marks) (b) The following are the open-circuit and short-circuit test results of a 10kVA, 3300/220V single- phase power transformer. Open-circuit test with high-voltage open: V = 220V I = 8.13A P = 160W Short-circuit test with low-voltage shorted: V = 192V I = 3.034 P = 290W i) Find the impedances of the equivalent circuit referred to the high-voltage side of the transformer, and sketch the equivalent circuit with clear labels. (7 marks) ii) Find the copper and iron losses as well as the efficiency of the transformer at rated voltage and supplying at full load with 0.85 power factor lagging. (4 marks) iii) Sketch a wiring diagram with clear labels to show how three identical single-phase transformers as above could be interconnected to build a 3.3kV/380V three-phase transformer (3 marks)
