In a study examining the relationship between oral contraceptives and urinary tract infection, you follow over a 3-year period women who do and women who do NOT use oral contraceptives. At the beginning of the study o participants had experienced a urinary tract infection. Over the 3-year period, you find that 60 of the 500 individuals who used oral contraceptives developed a urinary tract infection while 150 of 3,000 individuals who did NOT use oral contraceptives developed a urinary tract infection. What is the incidence of urinary tract infections (per 1,000) among the unexposed (ie, those who did NOT use oral contraceptives) over this three year period? A 62.9 urinary tract infections per 1,000 women who did not use oral contraceptives B 32.0 urinary tract infections per 1,000 women who did not use oral contraceptives 162.8 urinary tract infections per 1,000 women who did not use oral contraceptives D 50.0 urinary tract infections per 1,000 women who did not use oral contraceptives 100.0 urinary tract infections per 1,000 women who did not use oral contraceptives
