The number of insurance claims made by a driver in a calendar year is Poisson distributed with mean 0 and is independent of the number of claims by the individual in the previous year. For low risk drivers, 0 = 0.1, while for high risk drivers 0 = 0.6. Calculate (a) the expected number of claims made in year 2019 by a customer; [5 marks] (b) the probability that a customer who made exactly one claim in year 2019 is in high risk group. [10 marks]
