For #1, the F-value = MSR/MSE, so I think its 3, 2, 1
respectively but not 100% sure.
#2, think its either 1,3,5,4,2 or 1,3,4,5,2 or 1,3,2,4,5. One of
them I'm sure is it, but not too sure
#3, think its paired t-test since its comparing 2 different
groups for an experiment, around 80% sure.
Please provide your answers with an explanation. Thanks.
Question 1 (4 points) The output of analysis of variance on the regression of "mpg" against "disp" variable in the "mtcars" dataset is given below. anova(Im(mpg-disp, data=mtcars)) Analysis of Variance Table Response: mpg Df Sum Sq Mean Sq F value Pr(>F) disp 1 808.89 808.89 76.513 9.38e-10 *** Residuals 30 317.16 10.57 Match the following terms regarding the output. 10.57 1. F-value 808.89 2. MSR 76.51 3. MSE

Question 2 (4 points) Match each experimental design setting with its corresponding statistical test. 1. One normally distributed sample Sample t-test 2. Two independent binomially distributed samples Wilcoxon rank sum test One-way ANOVA F-test 3. Two independent normally distributed samples Kruskal-Wallis test 4. Four independent samples that follow a Poisson distribution Two-sample t-test 5. Five independent normally distributed samples

Question 3 (2 points) We plan to do a study to test the effectiveness of a medication on blood glucose. You have two groups of patients and your goal is to test if drug A is better than placebo in lowering blood glucose. Blood glucose is recorded as a continuous measure. Which one of the following tests would you use to compare the groups? Sample t-test Paired t-test Chi Squared test Bonferroni correction
