4. An experiment was conducted to determine if the timing of burning affected the flowering of a prairie plant. 15 experimental plots were established, and 5 of them were burned in the spring, 5 burned in the summer and 5 were not burned. Number of flowers per plant was measured in late summer. An ANOVA revealed that there was at least one difference in the mean number of flowers between the treatments.
