1. A mixture consists of nitrogen and oxygen. Increasing the
Gibbs free energy of the nitrogen by 22 J results in a decrease of
4 J/mol in the chemical potential of the oxygen. How many grams of
oxygen are present in the mixture? (I get a negative number and
mass can never be negative).
2. Using the Clapeyron equation write an expression for Ta, its
boiling point at a pressure Pa. The expression should be given
where T is in terms of Pa, Tb, its heat of vaporization, and
physical constants.
