Mark the locations of each phase and phase change and carefully explain the shape of each part of the graph. (a) First assume enough pressure so that all three phases are each stable at some temperature. (b) Repeat the sketch, but assume that the pressure is below the critical value. Which phase will not be seen to be stable at any temperature?
