CALC II homework help
A building has 12 floors, each 15 feet high. There is an
elevator that is picking a person up from each floor and bringing
them to the roof to watch the 4th of July fireworks.
The elevator platforms weighs 1000 pounds, the elevator cable
weighs 1.5 pounds per foot and each person picked up weighs 130
pounds.
The elevator itself is 8 feet tall and the cable is attached to
the top of the platform.
Find the work done in lifting everything and everyone to the
roof of the building.
Draw a diagram indication the position of the elevator at the
5th floor and distance lifted. This diagram much be consistent with
your integral.
