www.g ILI Equipment: Multisim Description: A binary subtractor can be designed using an adder where the subtrahend will have to be converted to it's 2's complement. All the bits of the subtrabend will be inverted be feeding to the adder chip. The LSB carry.in will be set to HIGH The MSB carry-out will be checked for the sign of the real if it is HIGH then the result is positive and a otherwise of the result is negative, 2 complement of it will be estimated to get the final answer Procedure: 1. Open Multisim 2. Add the following components 74x83 or 74x283 - 4 bit adder chip b74x04 or 74x05 or 74x140x74x16 or 74x19-hex inverter Two DSWPK 4 4-switches unit d. Bar LED LED c. Power source (Vco) Ground 3. Simulate the circuit and check the LED output for all switch combinations 4. Take screenshots for the following subtractions and explain the results a. 115 b. 14-8 1014 d613 5. Create a truth table with test results for any 16 out of 256 input combinations Report: Submit a report with the following information for the binary adder circuit 1. Circuit diagram 2. Screenshots of selective subtractions along with explanations 3. Truth table with data from test results.
