4. Two binary stars (star 1 and star 2)in Figure 6 are orbiting each other on a plane, so that it will appear that one star is moving towards and the other is receding from Earth. If the stars are not moving, the astronomer expects to see the stars' wavelengths to be 520nm. But, when looking at them with accurate instruments, he found out that star 1 has a wavelength of 517nm and star 2 has wavelength of 525nm. (a) Which stars is moving away (red shifted) and which one is moving closer (blue shifted) to Earth? (b) How fast each star is moving?
