The horizontal distance was measured 10 times by using two
types of total stations characterized by a different
accuracy.
The following readings of the distance were taken:
325.07 m (SD = ±2 cm), 325.02 m (SD = ±2 cm), 325.11 m (SD = ±2
cm), 325.08 m (SD = ±2 cm), 325.06 m (SD = ±1.5 cm),
325.05 m (SD = ±1.5 cm), 325.09 m (SD = ±1.5 cm), 325.08 m (SD =
±1.5 cm), 325.07 m (SD = ±1.5 cm), 325.08 m (SD = ±1.5 cm).
The values in brackets provide the standard deviation (SD) of
each measurement.
Compute the most probable value of the horizontal distance and
its standard deviation.
The result is?
