A single cylinder, four stroke, 3000 cc. petrol engine has a maximum power output of 125 kW at 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 255 N-m at 3000 rpm. The minimum BSFC is 0.090 kg/MJ at 3000 rpm and the air flow rate is 0.068 m3/s. The compression ratio is 8.9 and the mechanical efficiency is 88%. The engine was tested under ambient conditions at 20 °C and 1 bar where the calorific value of fuel is 44 MJ/kg and k = 1.4. a. Power output at 3000 rpm and the torque output at 5500 rpm b.
