1. If the Social Security retirement system were a private retirement system, it would be declared bankrupt - even though its Trust Fund currently holds a surplus of inflows over outflows. Why would a а system that claims to be funded find itself in this situation? What are the projected values for this Trust Fund over the next decade if the current benefit formulas are kept in place?
