For a project in school I have to come up with my own physics
problems that I can solve to show that I understand the concepts,
but am having trouble with one.
The question i am posing is: *A motorcycle rider is about to
crash and decides to jump off of the bike to avoid getting
hurt. How far will the motorcycle slide after the rider jumps
off?*
I am not sure where to start and have tried using conservation
of momentum equations and work/energy equations, but I think it may
be a little bit of both. How should I go about writing the problem?
It only has to be symbolic to start off, so I just need a little
bit of guidance.
