1. A 10-kg bob is tied to a 1.75-m long string. It is displaced an angle of 45 degrees from the vertical and released from rest. At the bob's lowest point it collides elastically with a 2-kg block. The block is then projected towards the right and first encounters a horizontal "rough" patch that is 50- cm long and has a coefficient of kinetic friction of 0.20. Afterwards, there is a loop that is 15-cm in radius. (see below) a. Will the block successfully make it around the loop? Show why it does or does not. (15pts) b. What will be the speed of the 2-kg block after exiting/completing the loop? (10pts) Note: Picture not to scale R-15cm 45' 1.75m 2kg 50-cm 44-0.20 10kg
