Your patient has had the following on your 0700 to 1900 shift: NPO for breakfast; 1/2 cup ice chips midmorning; 4 oz water, 1/2 of an 8 oz can of gingerale, and 1/3 of a 6 oz bowl of chicken broth for lunch; 1 cup iced tea, 6 oz bowl of beef broth, and 4 oz sorbet for dinner. The patient had continuous IV fluids of 0.9NSS that began at 0700 and infused continuously at a rate of 85 ml/hr until 1400 when discontinued. Ampicillin 1 g IVPB in 250 mL NSS administered at 1200 and 1800. Total = mL.
