In both of these decays, extra particles are produced. (a) Describe clearly the extra particles that are produced in each of these decays by completing right-hand sides of the reactions below: Cu → Cu → (b) Even though both of these reactions are energetically favorable and the energy released is roughly the same in the two cases, one of the reactions is far less common than the other.
