1) A stone is projected (under gravity, with air friction neglected) with velocity Vo, at an angle a to the horizon, towards a "step of height H: y Y max H Vo XH 1.1) Assuming that the stone goes over the step, calculate ymax (the maximum height of the stone's trajectory) and xH (the x-coordinate of the point where it hits the ground). 1.2) Determine for which vo the stone would go over the step. 2) The trajectory of a particle is given by x = 3 cos t, y = sin t, t: 0 → TT. Sketch the trajectory of the particle. 3) The same as in part 2, but for a particle with polar coordinates, given by r = 2πt, 0 = t, t: 0→2TT.
