1. a. Determine the equivalent state of stress on an element at the same point oriented 30° counter clockwise with respect to the element shown. Sketch the results on the rotated element. (use equation 9-1, 9-2, & 9-3, ex. 9,2) I b. Plot o'x, o'y, & T'xy vs. O using Matlab, Excel, or your plotting calculator. Make a rough sketch and identify the values of the maximum o'x, o'y, and the value of the angle the maximum occurs at. c. Identify the +30° location on the graphs and verify those values agree with what you got in part a. d. Please specify where you want the extra credit applied to. Oy = 35 MPa Txy = 75 MPa 0x = 90 MPa
