Calculate the outer radius (in mm) for a dry car clutch that
needs to transfer 61 kW power at a rotation speed of 3500
rev/min.
The service factor is assumed to be 2.9. The lining material has
a coefficient of friction of 0.42 and maximum (allowable) contact
pressure of 0.5 MN/m2 (= MPa). The clutch plate is
be contacted from both sides (N = 2). Use the uniform wear
assumption and optimal size of the inner radius.
