Question 2. (25 points) The baseband signal m(t), with a peak-value of 4, is given by m(t) = cos1000rt+3 cos 3000лt. The signal m(t) is DSB-SC modulated on a carier wave with frequency f = 1000 kHz. The amplitude of the carrier wave A = 300 V. a) Write down the full mathematical expression that describes the DSB-SC modulated bandpass signal and show by derivation that this DSB-SC bandpass signal consists of a number of discrete frequency components. Provide the frequencies of these components. b) Calculate the following parameters of the transmitted DSB-SC bandpass signal: 1. the normalized average transmitted power Pay (in dBV²), av 2. the normalized peak envelop power (PEP) PPEP (in dBV²). c) Draw the single-sided power spectrum (PSD) of the transmitted DSB-SC signal in a detailed graph. Take as horizontal axis the frequency range from 995 - 1005 kHz and clearly indicate the values on the vertical axis in dBV2/Hz or dBV², as required.
