A steel composite beam section is shown in Fig. 2. The beam is simply supported with a
span of 6.5 meter. It is required to:
(1) Determine the flexural strength of the composite beam with the full composite action; (2) Calculate the spacing (s) of the shear stud to ensure the full composite action if the
strength of one shear stud is 45 kN.
