Position Summary: The accounts receivable clerk will help ensure the company is receiving payments for the goods and services offered and/or performed for clients Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. 2. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data 3. Preparing bills receivable, invoices, and bank deposits 4. Verify discrepancies by and resolve client's billing issues 5. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status Rated Competencies Task Importance Task Frequency Strong math, typing, and computer skills Better cash flow and higher availability of liquidity for businesses investments and acquisitions. Statements are usually due at the end of every month, depending on the period the company goes by. Billing goes by when the client is set to pay, etc. Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Promote, monitor and maintain an efficient system for collecting debts Minimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and processing costs. Notify all customers for Reports are often due weekly or monthly Close attention to detail payments when amount is due. Data entry skills, and experience with office implementation of proper schedule and monitoring of collection process Researching and resolving issues with accounts Customer service and negotiation skills
Assignment: Using the job description you prepared earlier for this course, create a checklist that can be used to select a new employee (Figure 6-1 in your text.)
