A 53-year-old female, after undergoing prior bariatric surgery,
weight loss, and exercise program has lost 100 pounds. She now has
a Grade III pannus. The patient s scheduled for a panniculectomy
and abdominoplasty. The patient undergoes an incision from the
right posterior axillary line with dissection carried down to the
abdominal wall. The pannus is release and the skin and subcutaneous
tissue are dissected off the abdominal wall to the area where an
upper incision is made. A full-thickness skin resection is
performed on the excess skin. Perforating vessels are ligated, the
rectus diastasis is folded and sutured together, and
suction-assisted liposuction is performed. Drains and deep sutures
are placed. After umbilical transposition, the skin and
subcutaneous tissues are closed in an intermediate fashion. What
are the correct CPT codes for this surgery?
