You have been called by the newly hired registrar to the radiochemistry lab for a radioactive spill. Unfortunately, the person does not know which radioisotope was spilled. As a matter of fact, you know that in that particular area of the lab the personnel only work with Tc-99m and Y-90 labelled radiopharmaceuticals. a) Why is it important to know which radioisotope was spilled?
