gives a parametrization of C_k. For the last line segment C_n,
we write for simplicity that (a1,b1)= (a_n+1, b_n +1).

I denne oppgaven skal vi regne ut arealet av en n-kant C med hjørner (a₁,b₁), (a2, b₂),..., (an, bn) Vi kaller linjestykket mellom (a,b) og (ak+1,bk+1) for Ck, dvs. at vi har C=C₁UC₂UCU...UCn hvor C, er det siste linjestykket fra (an, bn) til (a₁, b₁). (a₁, b₁) (ansbn) (az,b₂) (an-1-bn-1)/ (az,b3) (a) La F(x,y) = -i+j og la r beskrive en parametrisering av C. Bruk Greens teorem til å forklare hvorfor absoluttverdien av integralet fF.dr beregner arealet av n-kanten. (b) Vis at r(t) = (ax+1(ax+1-ak)) i+(bk+1(bk+1 − bk))j, 0≤1≤1 gir en parametrisering av C. For det siste linjestykket C, skriver vi for enkelthets skyld at (a₁, b₁) = (an+1, bn+1). 1 (c) Regn ut F.dr og bruk dette til å regne ut arealet av n-kanten. (d) La C være trekanten med hjørner (0,0), (a,h) og (g,0). Bruk formelen i (c) til å vise at arealet av denne trekanten er Bruk samme metode til å vise at arealet av rektangelet gitt ved hjørner (0,0),(g,0), (g.h) og (0,h) er gh.
