Millennial real estate sells houses. People who want to sell
their houses after an initial
conversation with Millennial decide whether they want to use them
as their realtor. If the seller
decides to do so, they sign a contract with Millennial and a real
estate agent is assigned to the
seller. Millennial gathers information about the house from the
seller and other sources. This
information is entered into Millennial’s database and a subset of
it is sent to the multiple listing
service used by all real estate agents.
Millennial works with two types of potential buyers. Some buyers
have an interest in one
specific house. In this case, Millennial prints information from
its database which the real estate
agent uses to help show the house to the buyer. In this manner the
real estate agent shows the
house to potential buyers. Once a buyer makes an offer to buy the
house, the real estate
communicates the offer to the seller. At this point the seller may
accept the offer or make a
counteroffer. The process of the buyer making an offer with the
seller counteroffering may occur
multiple times. If both the buyer and seller agree on the sale, a
contract to sell/purchase the house
is signed at which point the real estate agent informs the multiple
listing service that the house is
“Sale Pending”. If the buyer and seller did not sign a contract,
the house remains listed as “For
Sale” and the real estate agent continues to show the house to
other potential buyers.
