it eliminated the geographic restrictions for the providers, it
allowed more people to be seen, and it allowed to limit the spread
of the virus. It has a time limit due to the fact that the coverage
for these visits will end. When the public health emergency is
declared ended, so will the coverage for these visits. The
political barriers that affect home care are that it is mainly
Medicare patients, which is a federal program so it takes a federal
push to make changes within the program. It takes changes in
federal funding to change money and that is often hard to do as
well.
