Case Study 1 A 51-year-old, overweight white man visits his family physician with a symptom of "indigestion of 5 days duration. He has also had bouts of sweating, malaise, and headache. He also stated to have lately experienced chest discomfort that he described as a crushing sensation that spread into his neck and lower jaw, and complained of nausea. His blood pressure is 140/105 mm Hg, he has history of cigarette smoking, his family history includes a father with diabetes who died at age 62 of AMI secondary to diabetes mellitus. An electrocardiogram revealed changes from one performed 6 months earlier. The results of the patient's blood work are as follows: CK CK-MB LDH LDH AST 129 U/L 1% 280 U/L Isoenzymes S5 U/L (30-60) (<6%) (100-225) LDH-1 > LDH-2 (5-30) 1. State the Diagnosis for this patient. 2. Identify the symptoms and physical Examination findings consistent with your diagnosis. S. What family and social history contribute as risk factors
