We found that the GWP100a and ODP value was lowered when using
wood, which is a good thing. The chemical reaction of burning both
natural gas and wood, is the combination of Methane
(CH4) and Oxygen (O2), generating
CO2 and H2O (plus heat).

My question is why it is better to use wood as a heat source, over
natural gas?
