In one last attempt to break Buckaroo, Lizardo has him do a
magnitude estimation experiment where he must give his subjective
ratings of light brightness vs. the objective luminance of the
stimuli. Fitting Buckaroo's data with a power function, Lizardo
finds that the best-fitting parameters are k = 3 and b = .5. What
would we expect Buckaroo’s subjective rating to be for a light of
36 cd/m^2?
