A pair of helical gears on parallel axes, have involute
teeth of 14.5o normal pressure angle, and 4 mm
normal module. The wheels are to have 20 and 39 teeth, and a helix
angle of 40 degrees. Calculate the contact ratio in the transverse
plane. Give your answer to 2dp.
