The magnetic field shown in the figure below has a uniform magnitude of 35.0 T. The initial diameter of the kink is 15.0 cm and it is connected in series with a resistor of 64.0Ω and wire MN of length 90.0 cm. The wire on the kink is quickly pulled taut, and the kink shrinks to a diameter of zero in 50.0 ms. (a) Calculate the induced e.m.f.. (2 marks) (b) Calculate the induced current and the direction of current along wire MN. (3 marks) (c) Determine the magnitude and direction of the force acting on wire MN. (3 marks)
