On day 3 his breathing symptoms improves, blood glucose levels
are stable on insulin regimen, and his temp is normal. You enter
Blake’s room, and he is in the bathroom yelling that he is having
“bad diarrhea” all morning and it is getting worst. His bedding is
soiled with copious amounts of yellow liquid stool. Recognizing
that this could be infectious, you wisely decide to institute
precautions. You check to make sure he is safe and step out of the
room.
Blake is positive for C-Diff and placed on isolation.
