I will give a thumbs up after! I just need help with the ladder
logic, and inputs/outputs.
I will give a thum
Procedure: 1. Launch the software • Start/All Programs/ TheLeamingPit/ LogixPro. How to fix the LogixPro license issue. II. Document the Batch Simulation . From the Simulations Menu at the top of the screen, select the Batch Simulation. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the components used in the Batch Simulation system, and take particular note of the current state of the inputs. Run your mouse over each switch, and you should see a tool-tip text box appear, which denotes how the selected switch is wired. Place the PLC into the RUN mode which will initiate scanning. Now open the Data Table display by clicking on the Data Table icon located on the toolbar (3rd from right) at the top of the screen When you have the Data Table showing, select the Input Table from the drop down Table list box. You should now be able to see the current state of each bit associated with input card 1:1 and output card. Create a table that lists each input & output address and what is connected to it. Don't continue on with the exercise until you are confident that you understand the operation of each input and output. Include your I/O table in your report. III. Simple Fill. For a grade 20/50, the following criteria must be met: Pumps will stop immediately when the Stop Switch is initially pressed, and will remain halted if the Stop switch is released, until the Start Switch is pressed again. • The tank will not be allowed to over flow. Pumps will not be allowed to overheat - they will shut off if there is no liquid to pump. . When the Select switch is set to "A", and the Start switch (1:1/0) is pressed, pump P1 will be energized and the tank will start to fill. P1 will stop when the tank is full as indicated by the Hi-Level switch. • The filling operation is to halt immediately if the stop switch is pressed. Demonstrate this operation to the instructor and display your l/Otable. Save the LogixPro file, and capture a picture of the ladder logic. IV. Drain the Tank. For a grade 30/50, add these additional criteria to the program above: When the knob is pointing to "B" and the Start Button is pushed, drain Pump 3 will run until the tank is empty as indicated by the Lo-Level switch, then stop. • The pump operation is to halt immediately if the stop switch is pressed. The "Full" lamp will energize when the tank is full. The "Run" lamp will energize when either pump is running. The "Idle" lamp will energize when the tank is empty and neither pump is running. • Demonstrate this operation to the instructor, save the file and capture a picture of the ladder logic. V. Auto Stop with Lamps. For a grade 45/50, add these additional criteria to the program above: The pulses generated by Flowmeter 1 should be used to increment a counter. For Select A: When the count reaches a value where the tank is approximately 90% full, the pump is to be shut-off and the control panels FULL light is to be energized. For Select B: Flowmeter 3 will be employed to decrement the existing counter, and draining will be allowed to continue till the counters accumulator reaches zero or the tank is empty - whichever is first. Demonstrate this operation to the instructor or TA, save the file, and capture a picture of the ladder logic. VI. Sequence. For a grade 50/50, add these additional criteria to the program above: • When Select "C" is true a sequence of steps will take place in sequence: • When the Start switch (1:1/0) is pressed, pump P1 will be energized and the tank will start to fill. • The pulses generated by Flowmeter 1 should be used to increment a counter. When the count reaches a value where the tank is approximately 90% full, the pump is to be shut-off and the control panels FULL light is to be energized. The mixer will run for 8 seconds. The "Run" lamp will be energized when the mixer or either pump is running . When the mixing is complete, drain pump P3 is to be started and the tank is to be drained. • When the tank has been drained, the "Idle" lamp will be energized. • Pressing the Start switch will cause the sequence to repeat. • Stop button should stop all pumps and mixer. Demonstrate this operation to the instructor or TA, save the file, and capture a picture of the ladder logic.
