Four product models, A, B, C and D are to be produced on a mixed model assembly line. Hourly production rate and work content time for Model A are RpA = 2 units/hr and Twca = 65 min; Model B are Rub = 4 units/hr and Twcb = 40 min; Model C are Ręc = 1 units/hr and Twc = 55 min; and Model D are Rạp = 1 units/hr and Twc = 15 min respectively. Line efficiency is 95%, balance efficiency is 85%, repositioning time is 0.07 min. It is known that manning level of system is 2. a) Determine how many workers and workstations must be on the production line in order to produce this workload (10 pt). b) Determine launching sequence of models for an hour period if fixed rate launching interval is used. (It is known that first five rounds are assumed and determined as Model B-Model B-Model A-Model B-Model D sequentially) (20 pt). c) Determine the total congestion or idle duration for the system (10 pt)
