1b. An authorized of an information system is attempting log in, but has forgotten the password for his account. After a certain number of failed attempts, an IDS reports this incident. Name the type of result the IDS should generate, and briefly explain why that is the appropriate type. What is the type of result IDS should generate? 1b. Ideally an IDS would never generate any false negatives and would never generate and false positives.
