Assignment objective: To synthesize new information and opinions from industry experts with course learning objectives: summarize and support selected course topics in order to create a plan for the future world of work. Background of Video Debate: As you know, the recent Covid-19 pandemic has impacted everyone on a global scale. To prepare to move forward we have 2 talks to watch this week. First, Debbie Lovich presents a TedTalk "3 tips for leaders to get the future of work right", followed by "4 Lessons the pandemic taught us about work, life and balance" by Patty McCord
Assignment overview (PART 1 - Ted Talk Analysis): 1. Watch the two videos (above) 2. Type your answers to the following questions: How has the pandemic impacted the workplace in general (both good and bad); how did impact you personally? • What positive outcomes occurred as a result from remote working? • What were the negative impacts of the pandemic in the workplace and what solutions can we implement going forward? . Give at least two examples of what business leaders can do to help their employees have a better work/life balance.
