Scenario for Project • You are a consultant has been hired to redesign a warehouse to increase shipping capacity. This is a fabrication company in Tyler, Texas which manufacture pressure vessels for oil field for order to be fabricated. The company wants to reorganize the warehouse to where they have lots (spaces) for each job produced. The company wants to track when parts are ordered by utilizing a database which can update daily on when the parts or pulled from the warehouse and taken to the fabrication shop. Right now the fabrication shop will just come grab the part they are needing not knowing which job the part was ordered.
What is needed to complete the project Design and Layout (you can draw the improved layout using ruler to draw the details and scan to PowerPoint • Warehouse Management Plan • Information Technology Plan to handle flow of production including out-going orders • Safety and Security Plan Some outside research may be required!!!
