£100 with 10% chance and £0 otherwise. Ignore the cost of obtaining
this ticket. Assume your utility function is 𝑈(𝑥) =
𝑥^1/2. Answer the following questions.
(a) calculate and interpret the absolute and relative risk
aversion coefficients for this utility function. (3 marks)
(b) Explain the concepts of expected value and expected utility
