In other words, when we say that Earth's atmosphere is composed of 22% molecular oxygen (O) we mean that this percentage is computed using the number concentration of molecules. What are the corresponding percentages if you were to use mass fractions instead of number concentration? Please derive expressions for the mass fractions in terms of the number fraction, and provide estimates for O, and N, assuming that they compose all of the mass (i.e. that the number fractions in percent are 78% N, and 22% 0).
