In the questions that follow, consider the following hypothetical results for an experiment similar to the one you designed and conducted this past week: Ben and Jerry developed the following model for the equivalent resistance of two resistors in series: R_eq = (1.05 * R_1) + (0.95 * R_2) Then, they tested their model using 68 ohm and 51 ohm resistors. They used the manufacturer's specified tolerances as an estimate of the uncertainty in the true values of the resistances: R_1 = 68 Ohms +/- 5% R_2 = 51 Ohms +/- 5% The result of their measurement of the equivalent resistance of this circuit is: R_eq = 115.7 +/- 0.5 Ohms
