Requirements for the concept map assignment: Use all concept inventory terms at least once in the concept map and must follow assignment-specific formatting Arrows must be used to connect each concept to at least one other concept At least 25% of the concepts should have multiple arrows to/from those concepts Text describing the nature of the relationship must be included with all arrows (don't assume your instructor knows why you made the connection you did!) Concept map must have a visual component (images, colors, etc.) Grading criteria: All basic requirements for the concept map are met: 14 pts All concept terms used: 10pts - Connecting arrows for all concepts, with a minimum of 25% concepts with more than one arrow connecting them: 2 pts - Text describing relationships included above all arrows: 1pt - Concept map has a visual component: 1 pt Concept map includes thorough and correct relationships: 9 pts - Concept map terms have clearly defined context (e.g. definitions, images): 3 pts - All relationships between concept terms are clearly and thoroughly explained (i.e. much of the text above the arrows is more than just one or two words): 3 pts - All relationships shown are correct/accurate (i.e. no incorrect relationships are made): 3 pts Concept map is creative, easy to read: 2 pts Text and visual components are meaningful and deliberate, and help to enforce connections: 1 pt - All components are legible and easy to read: 1pt
Concept Map #2: Concept inventory Include the following concepts that we've covered in class thus far into your Concept Map #2: Include brief definitions or visuals for all concept map terms, and text descriptions of the relationships between these concepts that reflects how you think these are all connected/related together. You need to also include images (diagrams, micrograph images), color coding, or other visual components to help you organize your ideas.
