an 82 year old woman with multiple comorbidities presented to ERand had fever, non bloody diarrhoea as well as shortness of breath.On careful examination there were scrath marks and abrasions on herleft leg. She became febrile at 39 degrees and developed septicshock. . Her past medical history was significant for dsylipidaemia, COPD, CHD as well as breast cancer. She denied travel history andmuch contact with people apart from her home help assistant and domestic pet.
