Liquid containers are made of a variety of materials, each withits own unique characteristics. Give specific examples of materialsused for liquid containers that are 1) covalently bonded, 2) metalbonded, and 3) ionically bonded, and explain why each chemical bondis desirable for the application.
Example: A beaker is made of borosilicate glass. The main bonds areionic and covalent, making it hard, resistant to high temperatures, and resistant to chemical reactions.
