A ball is launched from the edge of an 22.18 m tall building at an angle of 36.34 degrees above horizontal with a speed of 7.82 m/s. Use g=9.81 m/s∧2 As the ball is being launched, a person begins running with a speed of 4.77 away from the base of the building, hoping to catch the ball. At what rate (in m/s∧2 ) must the person accelerate if they are to reach the horizontal position of the ball just as the ball is reaching the ground? [Hint: Find the time taken for the ball to reach the ground first. It will not be twice the time taken to reach the maximum height. ] Do not attempt to input units or use scientific notation.
