a. Define the following terms: i. Type I error; ii. Type II error; iii. Power function. (6 marks) b. Personal computers ( PC ) are manufactured at three different factories, A,B and C. Records are kept on batches of PCs produced at the three factories to find out how many need repairing within two years of their purchase. i. Is there any evidence that the factories differ in the quality of their product? Use two different significance levels. ii. Test whether the true proportions of PCs requiring repair are the same for Factories A and B. Again, use two different significance levels. (14 marks)
