Climate change is expected to result in sea level rise. Tidegauge data in Guyana for the period 1951 to 2010 indicated a meanrelative sea level rise range of 4.7 to 10.2 mm per year, which isat the higher end of global projections. These assessments suggestsignificant increases in the impact of coastal flooding on humansettlement, infrastructure, and shoreline erosion and recession,particularly in areas not protected by seawalls. The still waterlevel (SWL) was measured at +17.200 m GD (Georgetown Datum) back inthe year 2000.
You are required to design rock armor revetments for 20, 50 and100 years under the worst case scenario of sea level rise, i.e.10.2 mm per year. Assume year zero is 2022 for the analysis andaccount for sea level increase from 2000. Determine the relativechange in height and the primary armor units per surface areabetween the structures.
