A symmetric plate girder is made up offlange plates 250mm wide by 16mm thick and a web plate 1000mm deepby 10mm thick. Use your Concise Eurocode (SCI P362) toclassify the cross-section and to obtain its moment capacity in theabsence of any significant shear. The steel to be used isS275.
