The intake and delivery pipelines are of the same diameter. The water flows in a radial direction as it approaches the impeller, and the radial velocity component remains constant at 5 m/s as the flow passes through the impeller. Assume that the hydraulic losses account for a 10% head loss. Calculate the required vane angles at the outlet of the impeller. If the mechanical efficiency is 88%, estimate the power requirement for an electric motor.
